The election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels is an important political event of the country, and also an opportunity for a large number of union members, workers (CN), and laborers (NLĐ) to express their aspirations and place their expectations on deputies representing their voices.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap, through grasping the thoughts, the majority of union members and workers expressed their belief and expectations for the new term of the elected representatives.
Besides the joy and excitement before the great festival of the whole people, NLĐ hopes that the delegates after being elected will continue to listen and accompany NLĐ's lives more. The biggest expectation is that the policies in the 2026-2031 term will continue to aim at 3 pillars of life: "An cư - lạc nghiệp - an sinh", Mr. Nhan shared.
According to Mr. Nhan, when these practical issues are addressed, employees will feel secure in working, stabilizing their lives and long-term attachment to the business, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the locality and the country.
According to Mr. Nhan, actual records show that, from trusting in the talent and intelligence of candidates, workers have boldly proposed policies for the period 2026–2031. In which, focusing on 4 major groups of issues, including housing, education for workers' children, income - employment and cultural - social life.

Regarding housing, many workers proposed to accelerate the progress of social housing projects, helping them soon have the opportunity to rent or buy houses at appropriate prices. In the long term, in large industrial parks, synchronous accommodation areas need to be formed to meet the stable living needs of workers.
In addition, the need for schools for workers' children is also very urgent. Therefore, they earnestly propose building more independent childcare groups or public kindergartens near industrial parks so that adults can feel secure in their work and children have a safe and quality place to eat and study.

Regarding income and labor regime, workers want the regional minimum wage to be adjusted annually in the direction of compensating for price slippage and ensuring a realistic minimum living standard. Along with that, the social insurance policy system needs to continue to be improved to encourage workers to be attached to the social security system for a long time, limiting the situation of withdrawing social insurance once.
In addition, the issue of cultural life and security in workers' boarding houses has also been proposed by many workers, investing in community activity points and sports areas to improve spiritual life. At the same time, strengthening security and order at boarding houses with many workers living.
