Spreading love through blood donation activities
In the 2022-2023 school year, facing the situation of humanitarian blood donation activities in the school facing many difficulties due to the fear and lack of information in a number of staff and teachers, Ms. Giang was concerned about finding solutions and boldly proposed the initiative "Propaganda and mobilization of voluntary blood donation at the Trung Vuong Secondary School Union - Some experiences and solutions".
Not only stopping at giving ideas, Ms. Giang has spent a lot of time and effort to build a methodical and scientific propaganda process, suitable for the characteristics of the pedagogical environment.
She combined many diverse forms such as mobilizing members of the Executive Committee of the school's Trade Union to pioneer and posting information on the school's social networks in this activity.
"From the beginning, there were only about 2 to 3 members participating in blood donation activities, but after the process of encouragement and spread, up to now, each blood donation period has a new element and there are about 15 to 20 union members willing to donate blood in each period, exceeding 300% of the assigned target", Ms. Giang shared.
Up to now, Ms. Giang has donated blood 18 times and received a certificate of merit from the People's Committee of Hai Chau District.
Innovation and creativity in emulation and reward work
Not forgetting the success she has achieved, with the spirit of progress and the desire to contribute more to the school, as well as properly appreciating the contributions of workers in Trade Union activities, in the 2023-2024 school year, Ms. Giang continues to spend time researching, exploring and boldly proposing the initiative "Experience in forming a Trade Union Emulation Scoreboard for civil servants and workers at the Trung Vuong Secondary School Trade Union".
Realizing that the current emulation scoreboard still has some limitations, is not really suitable and does not encourage creativity and dedication of staff and teachers, Ms. Giang has proposed a new, more scientific and fair scoreboard.
This scoreboard does not only stop at evaluating work results but also focuses on other important, more comprehensive and in-depth factors, such as sense of responsibility, creativity, solidarity, helping colleagues, etc.
Ms. Giang shared: At first, this initiative received many oppositions from union members. However, after implementation, people realized the need to ensure fairness, avoid emotional issues and leveling. Thanks to that, the initiative has received high consensus and has been recognized and positively evaluated by the superior Trade Union".
According to Ms. Giang, the application of the new scoreboard has breathed new life into the school's emulation and reward activities, creating strong motivation for staff and teachers, promoting the competitive spirit, thereby comprehensively improving the quality of work.
In addition to initiatives that bring practical results, Ms. Giang is also an exemplary union member, actively participating in activities organized by the union. she always complies with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and the unit's rules and regulations. Her active and tireless contributions have been worthy of recognition through certificates of merit from the Da Nang City Labor Federation, the Da Nang City People's Committee, and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in which Ms. Giang has been classified as having excellently completed her tasks for many consecutive years.
The story of teacher Tran Nguyen Hien Giang is a vivid testament to the spirit of "One million initiatives", a source of inspiration for young teachers to follow, continue to promote initiatives, improve the way trade union work is carried out in schools to improve the quality of the trade union organization.
