Over the past year, along with the socio-economic development of the locality, the labor force in Thoi Binh commune has continuously increased in quantity, improved in qualifications and quality. The establishment of a commune trade union is an inevitable and objective need, stemming from the need to gather forces and representatives to care for the material and spiritual life of workers, while contributing to strengthening the increasingly solid grassroots political system.
The Congress focused on evaluating the results of activities and developing the direction and tasks of the new term with the goal of: building a strong trade union organization, focusing on the interests of union members, innovating methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots, for workers.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Huynh Van Dam, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, affirmed: The establishment of the Thoi Binh Commune Trade Union is a clear demonstration of the growth of the local workers' movement. Trade unions must truly be a common home, a place to listen, protect, and accompany workers.
In the coming term, the Commune Trade Union will focus on innovating the content and methods of operation in a practical and effective manner; strengthening the development of union members and establishing grassroots trade unions; at the same time, organizing supervision of the implementation of policies and laws related to workers; coordinating with the government to promote patriotic emulation movements associated with local political tasks. At the same time, the trade union also focuses on taking care of the lives of union members and workers, especially those in difficult and disadvantaged circumstances; promoting the core role in building advanced new rural areas, contributing to building a civilized and modern Thoi Binh commune.
The Congress announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Thoi Binh Commune Trade Union, term I, consisting of 8 members, Mr. Nguyen Trung Tin was appointed as Chairman.
The 1st Thoi Binh Commune Trade Union Congress is not only an important political event, but also the beginning of a new journey - the journey of faith, aspiration and innovation. With the foundation of solidarity, sense of responsibility and close direction of the Party Committee, and the support of local authorities, the Thoi Binh Commune Trade Union believes in completing its tasks excellently, becoming a bright spot in the workers' movement and trade union activities in Thoi Binh Commune in particular and Ca Mau Province in general.
