Taking care of Tet for union members and workers
In Son La province, trade unions at all levels have had many plans to take care of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
Sharing with the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Tran Huu Duc - Chairman of the Van Ho District Labor Federation said that the unit has issued a plan to take care of Tet for union members and workers. Thereby, helping union members improve their material and spiritual life, welcome Tet with a joyful and excited atmosphere, and feel secure in working and doing their jobs.
According to Mr. Duc, the unit will balance expenses, mobilize philanthropists and social resources to carry out Tet care activities for union members. Especially union members, workers in difficult circumstances, those with serious illnesses, those affected by floods and storms, and policy families.
Ms. Thao Thi Cu - Long Luong Commune Union, Van Ho District, assessed that union members and workers are very excited to receive the attention of union organizations, especially during the Lunar New Year.
Every year, workers will attend the Union Tet market, buy goods for 0 VND and receive words of encouragement, visits and gifts.From those meaningful activities, union members and workers are all happy with lots of positive energy, and feel secure in their work.

Speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Vang A La - Chairman of Son La Provincial Labor Federation - said that the unit has issued plans to organize activities to take care of union members and workers on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025 with the theme "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party".
The subjects of care during Tet are all union members and workers, with priority given to those in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, those affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, those whose working hours have been reduced, those who have lost their jobs, those who are owed wages and bonuses, those who are policy beneficiaries, etc.
The forms of care will be organized in a diverse and flexible manner, focusing on the grassroots level, paying attention to and supporting union members and workers living and working in remote, disadvantaged areas; in enterprises facing difficulties due to order cuts, reductions in production scale, temporary suspension of operations, dissolution, bankruptcy, etc.
According to the Chairman of the Son La Provincial Labor Federation, the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Gratitude to the Party" on the occasion of the Spring of At Ty 2025 will be organized centrally at the grassroots level, directly above the grassroots level and units, enterprises, in places with many union members and workers to ensure convenience, attract many participants, safety, savings and efficiency.
In places where gatherings are not organized, based on actual conditions, focus on organizing appropriate activities to celebrate Tet, ensuring that all union members and workers receive attention and care from the Trade Union organization.
“The Provincial Federation of Labor organizes cultural activities, Banh Chung wrapping contest, and gives 100 charity tickets to workers and laborers to return home for Tet. Organizes activities to celebrate Spring and Tet, visit and encourage union members and laborers to perform their duties on duty, production and business at the unit during Tet” - Mr. Vang A La informed.
The Son La Provincial Federation of Labor also requested that trade unions at all levels proactively participate with competent agencies to grasp the situation, inspect and supervise employers in paying salaries and bonuses to union members during Tet; promptly detect and have solutions to ensure the rights of union members and employees in enterprises facing difficulties, unpaid salaries and bonuses, business owners absconding or dissolving or going bankrupt. At the same time, strengthen the socialization of resources, mobilize organizations, individuals and enterprises to accompany and support resources for the Trade Union to carry out activities to care for union members during Tet.
