The contest was attended by representatives of leaders of agencies, units, enterprises, grassroots trade unions and 13 contestants from the Labor Federations of districts, cities, industry trade unions and industrial park trade unions representing nearly 3,000 grassroots trade union officials in the province.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Ms. Trinh Thi Thoa - President of the Provincial Federation of Labor - Head of the organizing committee of the contest affirmed that the contest is an opportunity to raise awareness for grassroots trade union officials about the role, position, functions and tasks of the trade union organization, thereby mastering the guidelines and policies of the Party, State and trade union organization.
Through the competition, it is possible to evaluate the qualifications, capacity, skills, and practical working methods of the Trade Union staff, thereby developing appropriate training and development plans to meet the requirements and tasks of the Trade Union organization in the new period.
Contestants participating in the contest go through 3 parts: Greeting, knowledge, situation handling and talent.
With careful preparation by the contestants, the 2024 "Excellent Grassroots Union Cadre" Contest took place in an exciting, joyful atmosphere with many outstanding performances and left good impressions.
At the end of the contest, contestant Nguyen Ngoc Dung - Chairman of the Trade Union of Hoa Sen Kindergarten under the Vinh Yen City Labor Federation won the first prize. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 6 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 3 consolation prizes to contestants. The total prize value is nearly 50 million VND.
