Apple launches year-end summary feature for Apple Books

Quang Minh |

Apple today officially introduced the Year in Review 2025 experience personalized to the Apple Books application.

The feature helps synthesize the most outstanding books and speech books of users in the year.

Starting today, the Year in Review 2025 section is displayed prominently in the Home card of the Apple Books app. This feature provides a detailed summary of each user's reading activities throughout the year, including total completed books, favorite genres, most read authors, and monthly interaction levels.

Apple deployed Year in Review a few years ago as a parallel version of Apple Music Replay and other annual summaries, while continuously improving this experience over the years.

The 2025 summary brings intuitive charts, timelines and rankings for each category, reflecting users' reading habits.

In parallel with the personalized synthesis, Apple also announced the annual editing list: 2025 Best Book and 2025 Best Book. These lists are compiled by the Apple Books editing team, appear right on the Home card and include many genres such as novels, non-fiction, memories, detective stories and works by newly published authors.
