According to the latest report, Apple will have revenue of 102 billion USD from July to September 2025, up 8% over the same period last year. With this, Apple's hardware and services have all achieved strong sales performance, up 5% and 15% respectively over the same period in 2024. This is also Apple's highest third quarter revenue in a year to date.
According to statistics, Mac is Apple's fastest growing hardware segment, followed by the iPhone. Commenting on iPhone sales in the third quarter, Counterpoint Research analyst Varun Mishra said: The iPhone 17 series is performing better than the iPhone 16 series, with the base version achieving good sales in many regions thanks to its very high suggested value.
The iPhone 16e has expanded its product portfolio. We recorded a 9% increase compared to the same period last year in delivery volume, successfully offsetting the slight decrease in average selling price (ASP) due to product diversification. This positive momentum is supported by strong growth in emerging markets, a trend we expect to continue.
However, the new Mac is Apple's fastest growing hardware product in the last quarter, thanks to a combination of refreshed products and the need for improvement from the high-end and commercial consumer segments. Apple's strategy of focusing on upgrading performance with the M-class roadmap is clearly creating a buzz, especially as AI-powered workflows are becoming more popular in creative and productivity applications.
Apple's service segment continued to grow by double digits for the ninth consecutive quarter. According to experts, Apple's ecosystem is becoming extremely powerful with services integrated at many touch points of core users such as storage, payment, insurance and entertainment.
Our consumer research shows that the service engagement rate of iPhone users is very high, and this number has increased over the years. Moreover, as the reach of the iPhone increases in emerging markets, the growth of the service will follow, said expert tarun Pathak of Counterpoint Research.
