From October 27-29, Vietnam International Digital Week 2025 (VIDW 2025) will take place in Ninh Binh and Hanoi. The event was chaired by the Ministry of National Defense (MONRE), in coordination with the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province.
With the theme "Institution for AI", the event aims to promote policy dialogue, share international experiences and introduce new technology solutions in the fields of AI, 5G, digital infrastructure, digital human resources and innovation.

Here, Vietnam plans to publish the Report "Evaluating the level of readiness in implementing UNESCO's recommendations on artificial intelligence ethics", and at the same time launching a regional cooperation initiative on AI institutions.
On the same day, a series of thematic forums were held in parallel, including the 6th ASEAN Conference on 5G; EU - Vietnam Digital Cooperation Forum; Vietnam Digital Partnership Forum - Digital Cooperation Organization; and Regional Workshop on Digital Transformation Based on Artificial Intelligence.
On October 28, a series of seminars and forums continued to take place with the following highlights: building the ASEAN Digital Master Plan 2030, developing digital human resources, artificial intelligence startups, Vietnam - EU cooperation in research and innovation, strategic technology development, and Vietnam - US cooperation on Open RAN. These contents aim to promote regional cooperation, improve national digital capacity and connect the international technology community.
VIDW 2025 also creates a space to connect businesses, managers, experts, and research institutes through B2B, B2G activities and technology exhibition. The working sessions in Hanoi on October 29, including the Vietnam - Korea Digital Cooperation Forum, are expected to close the program with a long-term cooperation orientation in the fields of AI, telecommunications infrastructure and innovation.
According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, Vietnam International Digital Week is an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its proactive and innovative role in international cooperation on digital transformation and new technology. At the same time, it spreads the message of a dynamic, open and pioneering Vietnam in building institutions for safe artificial intelligence, with people at the center.
