On the afternoon of March 7, the Institute of Non-Traditional Security, School of Management and Business, Hanoi National University held a press conference to announce information about the training program "Traditional Security Assistant".
According to the Institute of Non-Traditional Security, the need to protect personal and family security, protect the security of agencies, units, organizations, schools, and corporate hospitals is currently very high.
However, security guards, Secretaries, and assistants in Vietnam have not been fully trained, and there are no specialized training courses on skills and professional skills. Most security service companies only train basic security skills for students with short-term courses.
Based on a survey of the needs of social development, the School of Management and Business, Hanoi National University has developed a non-traditional security assistant training program.
This is a new training program, expected to be organized by the school from May 2025.
Major General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Nhat - Director of the Center for Non-Traditional Security Training, Institute of Non-Traditional Security said that the Institute will coordinate with general schools nationwide to organize training courses on "School security - Life skills - Learning to know - Learning to live together".

This is new knowledge that has not been taught in schools in Vietnam. The purpose of this training course is to provide knowledge on ensuring school security, legal knowledge and skills in preventing and handling dangerous situations to help students practice life skills, defense skills, handling dangerous situations, having an independent, cultural style and knowing how to respond flexibly to urgent problems that are occurring in today's society. The subjects of the students are students of high schools.
The lecturers are leading scientists and managers with theoretical and practical experience of Hanoi National University, former lecturers at the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense.
4 groups of skills and knowledge of non-traditional security assistants include: Political knowledge, national and international laws; knowledge of assistants - office workers, domestic workers - leadership secretaries, domestic workers; medical knowledge, weapons to protect and combat terrorism, prevention of child kidnapping, child kidnapping, rescue, handling emergency situations, fires, natural disasters, etc.; knowledge of soft skills such as cultural behavior, reception, foreign languages, information technology skills and network security, motorbike, car, boat driving skills, martial arts, use of support tools, use of pets, horse riding, swimming, diving, etc.
Colonel Do Canh Thin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Non-Traditional Security, said that after graduating from the training course, students have many career opportunities at agencies, organizations, schools, hospitals, businesses, ... according to working groups such as: Working as security guards/secretaries - assistants for agencies, organizations, schools, hospitals, Vietnamese enterprises in Vietnam and abroad; being the leader (commander) of security guards/headquarters officers (secretary - assistant) for agencies, organizations, businesses, schools, hospitals in Vietnam; exporting foreign labor to work as security guards/assistants - secretaries for foreign agencies, organizations, schools, hospitals, hospitals, and enterprises (priority in Korea).

A non-traditional security assistant training course lasts from 6 to 9 months. Students will be trained in 3 of 1, able to do many tasks at the same time. After graduation, the Institute will introduce students to large enterprises and corporations.
In addition, if desired, graduates can continue to study the Bachelor's degree program in Non-Traditional Security Administration (School of Administration and Business, Hanoi National University) granted by the Director of Hanoi National University.
The enrollment subjects are young people, men and women who have graduated from high school and love the job of security guards, assistants and domestic helpers. Priority is given to citizens who have graduated from high school and have completed their military service under the Ministry of Public Security or the Ministry of National Defense.
