On November 20, the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy (Ministry of Health) held a ceremony to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, October 20-19.
In his speech celebrating the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2025), Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy emphasized: Vietnamese Teachers' Day is an occasion for us to meet and congratulate generations of teachers, and is also an occasion for generations of students to remember the contributions of teachers who have devoted themselves to their careers and future.

More specifically, when two noble professions are respected and honored by the whole society, they are: Teaching and medicine, because everyone understands that the greatest assets of a person are health and intelligence.
Therefore, there is nothing more noble and more proud than that when we gather both of them. Teachers are the ones who teach, nurture, and train future generations of doctors for the country; at the same time, impart knowledge, inspire, encourage, and awaken the potential and creativity in each individual student.
Sharing about the results achieved in the 2024 - 2025 school year, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy said: The Academy has completed the 2025 enrollment target with 1,012 students, 332 postgraduate students admitted and enrolled.
In particular, the Academy is one of five medical and pharmaceutical universities nationwide selected to invest in developing it into a key university in the Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo on a number of breakthrough solutions, enhancing protection, care and improving people's health.
However, he believes that the academic achievements that the academy has achieved are only the first step in the journey to build it into a key university. This is a long process, requiring internal resources to implement.

In particular, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy emphasized the importance of innovating programs, training content, teaching methods and student assessment methods. Thereby, developing and improving the quality to meet the increasingly high demand for health care of the people.
Training and fostering the development of lecturers, with the core being the young lecturer team, must be given special attention to ensure sustainability in the development strategy of the Academys teaching staff - Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy emphasized.
Expressing her feelings about her profession, Dr. Tran Thi Thu Hien, Head of the Plant - Pharmaceutical Department (Vietnam Academy of Medicine - Traditional Pharmacy) was moved to say that during her teaching years, what made her happiest was not academic achievements or research works, but the moment when they saw the eyes of students brighten up when they understood difficult problems; when receiving messages from graduates sharing about their work and their successes in their careers.
"Every time like that, I feel that all my efforts and enthusiasm are worth rewarding" - Dr. Tran Thi Thu Hien said and believed that, as teachers, each person needs to be responsible for preserving and nurturing this relationship with love, respect and responsibility.
Also at the ceremony, the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy announced the Academy Director's decision to reward teachers with outstanding achievements.
