The Minister of Education requested localities to rearrange the network of schools in accordance with reality
Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son suggested that Lai Chau province and localities carefully calculate the rearrangement of the school network, especially prioritizing the construction of inter-level ethnic boarding schools in border communes, in accordance with the actual conditions of mountainous and border areas. The Minister emphasized that students in grades 1-3 should study near home, grades 4-5 and high school at boarding and boarding schools to stabilize the team and transfer teachers appropriately.

In addition, the Minister noted that school design needs to be suitable for the terrain, climate, and indigenous culture, encouraging open, friendly, and economical architecture, avoiding the closed "compact - concrete" model. Regarding food safety in boarding and semi-boarding schools, it is recommended that the province create a centralized supply chain, mobilize a model of raising livestock and growing vegetables right in schools to ensure nutrition and educate labor skills for students.
Regarding the shortage of teachers in some subjects, the Minister encouraged localities to proactively train and foster teachers of indigenous ethnic languages, taking advantage of online teaching technology to make up for the shortage. See more...
