National Day holiday schedule for students nationwide

On the occasion of National Day 2.9 this year, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in administrative and public service agencies will have 4 consecutive days off, from August 30 to September 2, including 2 weekly days off and 2 days off. Units that do not apply the Saturday and Sunday holiday schedule will proactively arrange the schedule in accordance with legal regulations.
Students across the country will also have a maximum of 4 days off on this occasion. For schools on Saturdays, the board of directors will flexibly adjust the holiday schedule to suit the actual situation. According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the holiday schedule for students is applied according to general State regulations.
Some universities such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Sciences, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law announced holidays from September 1 to September 2, combined with weekends to become 4 consecutive days off. The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) held a conference to announce the networks of excellent and talented training centers on 4.0 technology in the Central and Southern regions. The networks include: Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductor Technology Network chaired by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - Vietnam National University, Central Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductor Technology Network chaired by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - University of Da Nang, Biotechnology in Agriculture network chaired by Can Tho University, Biotechnology network in Central Agriculture chaired by Hue University, renewable energy network, Hydrogen energy network chaired by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, educational technology network chaired by Ho Chi Minh City Open University.
Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc emphasized that universities need to simultaneously carry out two strategic tasks: training high-quality human resources at international standards and promoting scientific research and innovation to master advanced technology. Training and research activities must be closely linked to the needs of businesses and the economy, ensuring that research products can be applied in practice.
The Ministry of Education and Training recommends that participating institutions in the network continue to promote the project, propose investment projects to develop facilities and improve the quality of training and research. Representative of Nghe An Department of Education and Training - Prof. Dr. Thai Van Thanh led the working delegation to the western mountainous communes such as Muong tip, Ta Ca, Bac Ly, My Ly... to present gifts, visit and encourage schools, staff, teachers and employees who suffered heavy losses due to floods.

The recent flood caused serious damage to the Nghe An education sector with more than 50 schools flooded, many equipment, books, and records were swept away; the total damage is estimated at hundreds of billions of VND. Many teachers and staff lost their homes and assets, greatly affecting their lives and teaching work.
Nghe An Department of Education and Training has supported a total of more than 1.086 billion VND, of which 675 million VND for schools and 411 million VND for cadres, teachers and staff who suffered damage to their houses and property.
