Schools proactively plan free review for students
From February 14, according to Circular 29/2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), schools are only allowed to organize free review for disadvantaged students, excellent students and final year students. This regulation makes many parents and students in grades 9 and 12 worried, especially when the high school graduation exam is approaching. Some parents are worried that their children will not be able to review fully, while students are afraid of having to find a review class in the center with higher costs.

Although there are no specific instructions from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, many schools have proactively planned free review. Some schools in the suburbs such as An Nhon Tay High School (Cu Chi District) are looking for ways to support teachers by reducing remuneration and mobilizing sponsorship from parents. Binh Chieu High School (Thu Duc City) plans to organize small-scale review classes for disadvantaged students. Meanwhile, some schools such as Thanh Loc High School (District 12) are waiting for instructions from the department before implementing the plan.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has assigned the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to issue detailed regulations on extra teaching and learning in the area. The Department of Education and Training will also soon have specific instructions, including financial support for review teachers for final year students, to ensure the quality of review before the important exam.
