More than 36,000 students of 51 schools in Ha Tinh stay home from school due to floods

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh province, affected by floods, on October 31, the whole province had 51 676 educational institutions with 36,768 students absent from school.

Of which, there are 41 schools in the preschool, primary and secondary schools with 25,833 students in 764 classes absent from school.

The high school block has 6 schools with 8,612 students absent from school. These are schools in Ky Anh district (old), Ky Anh town (old) and Ha Huy Tap High School.

The Vocational Education - Continuing Education (VET) sector has 2 centers with 948 students absent from school, including the VET system of Ha Tinh Vocational College and the Ky Anh Town Education and Training Center (old).

The Boarding and College block has 2 schools with 1,375 students absent from school, including Ha Tinh Vocational College and Ky Anh Private College.

The Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh has directed units to regularly monitor and grasp the situation of floods and flood risks; promptly inform all staff, teachers, staff and students to proactively prevent and promptly announce school closures if necessary to ensure absolute safety.

Organize the assignment and arrangement of forces on duty 24/24 hours, proactively carry out flood duty, transport furniture, preserve facilities and teaching equipment. Ensure communication, regular and ad hoc reporting regime.

Timely clean schools, disinfect schools, and clean the environment after the water recedes to resume teaching activities.
