On November 7, at a press conference in November 2025, a representative of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang officially informed about the incident in which a teacher was discovered leading an 11th grade female student to a motel in Long Xuyen ward, causing a stir in public opinion recently.
A representative of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang said that on October 27, Binh Le High School for the Gifted terminated the guest lecturer contract with Mr. H.T.T (teacher in the case). For the 11th grade female student, through verification, she contacted Mr. T. This student has now returned to normal school after being encouraged by her homeroom teacher and her family and stabilizing her psychology.

Also at the press conference, a representative of An Giang Provincial Police informed that the incident did not have enough elements to constitute a crime, so they did not prosecute. As for management issues, the education sector and schools will take measures to handle them.
Previously, social networks spread a short clip recording a young man wearing a white shirt being taken away by the local security force. In the clip, many people, believed to be the female student's family, shouted that the young man (believed to be a teacher) had taken his cousin to the motel.
The incident attracted many people to watch and leave comments expressing their frustration, many social networking sites also took to post to share.
Through verification, the young man was identified as H.T.T, a guest lecturer at Chuong Binh Le High School (private school), and an 11th grade female student studying at the An Giang 2 Continuing Education Center.
After the incident was discovered, the police determined that the two entered the motel voluntarily, with no signs of forced entry. Mr. T stated that he "went there just to drink", and had not had sex.
A representative of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang said that the provincial education sector is strengthening propaganda, education on ethics, life skills and building a safe school environment. The Department is also advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue a plan to implement Circular 18 on school counseling and is expected to organize a seminar on preventing and combating school violence at the end of November 2025.
