On October 13, parents of Nam Ly Primary School No. 1 (Dong Hoi Ward) reported to Lao Dong Newspaper that they were required to sign the list of voluntary support contributions for the school, but the amount was set.
According to the reflection, the list of movements has columns with the names of parents, students and the confirmation signature, and the empty amount entry. The Parents' Association announced the minimum contribution of 312,000 VND/student, which is considered a "common consensus".
A parent said that they were only notified to sign the confirmation and pay the money as if they had agreed.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen - Principal of Nam Ly Primary School No. 1 confirmed that there was a fundraising campaign and said that the total amount of money raised was 318 million VND, serving the replacement of the landslide, reinstalling the Wi-Fi network, replacing the power lines and some other repair items.

Ms. Huyen affirmed that the school has no policy of granting degrees or setting fees for each student. The call for support is carried out voluntarily, whoever has the conditions should support.
Regarding the reflection that the class set a minimum contribution of 312,000 VND, Ms. Huyen said that this was an illegal act, not in accordance with the voluntary spirit. The school will check and rectify immediately.
