On the afternoon of November 24, Mr. Le Ngoc Tien said that during the recent flood, a number of national highways and important traffic routes in Lam Dong province were damaged and landslides.
In particular, Prenn Pass and Mimosa Pass were seriously eroded, making it impossible to travel from November 18 to 19.

The Director of Lam Dong Department of Construction said that Prenn Pass has 6 locations of sunken and cracked road surfaces with a total length of about 300m, the crack width is 1 - 10cm.
There are about 40m of landslides on the negative slope embankment, the roadbed is 7.5m wide. The damage at this location shows signs of continued development and there is a risk of landslides causing road disruption.
The Department of Construction has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue an emergency situation; at the same time, coordinate with relevant units to deploy Larsen wood deposits and reinforce negative slopes. The route is expected to be temporarily opened to traffic from November 25.

The leaders of the Department of Construction informed that Project Management Board 1 and the construction unit have organized to determine the cause of the remaining damaged locations to have a plan to completely repair and overcome them. Prenn Pass is expected to temporarily open to traffic from November 25
Faced with the situation of many damaged roads, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Construction to urgently repair them.
For routes that can still be used, the authorities need to reinforce and repair them in a short time, ensuring travel for people and serving socio-economic development.
For severely damaged roads, it is necessary to close them for thorough repairs to avoid similar situations in the following years.
