Lam Dong - Functional units are focusing on human resources and machinery to urgently reinforce the landslide location on Prenn Pass to open to traffic as soon as possible.

On November 23, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province, said that under the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the unit is focusing on human resources and mobilizing vehicles and machinery to urgently reinforce the landslide location on Prenn Pass.

The goal is to soon open half of the road, meeting the travel needs of people and tourists to Da Lat. In recent days, the Department of Construction has arranged human resources, mobilized vehicles and machinery to reinforce the landslide section from Km224+600 to Km224+700 on National Highway 20.

The work includes: Placing rubber stakes, placing steel plates at the road center to reinforce the foundation and prevent cracks from expanding, and implementing solutions to drain surface and groundwater, strengthening weak structures at the cracked location.

After the roadbed is reinforced, the construction force will erect a corrugated iron barrier and allow vehicles to circulate half of the rotating road, ensuring safety, maintaining the main traffic route from Lien Khuong - Prenn Expressway to the center of Da Lat and vice versa.

This also helps reduce the load on Sacom Pass, Tuyen Lam Lake and Ta Nung Pass on Provincial Road 725.

To speed up the progress, the construction force worked until 9:00 p.m. every day.

In the long term, the plan to repair the entire landslide section from Km224+600 to Km224+700 is being studied and implemented by competent authorities in coordination with the Deo Ca contractor consortium in the coming time.
