On May 18, the People's Committee of Cu Nam commune (Bo Trach district, Quang Binh) said that a serious traffic accident had just occurred in the area, causing one person to die on the spot.
At around 2:00 p.m. the same day, at Km 568+700 National Highway 15 (through Tay Nam village, Cu Nam commune), a motorbike with license plate 73HA-59XX driven by Mr. D.D (residing in Cham Pu village, Thuong Trach commune, Bo Trach district) traveling from Phong Nha town to Cu Nam commune collided with a car with license plate 37A-238XX driven by Mr. P.D.P (born in 1997, residing in Vinh city, Nghe An) traveling in the same direction ahead.
After the collision, Mr. D.D fell onto the road and was again hit by a car with license plate 73H-005XX driven by Mr. N.Q.H (born in 1983, residing in Ba Don Town, Quang Binh Province) in the opposite direction.
The incident caused Mr. D.D to die on the spot.
Police were present at the scene to direct traffic, examine the scene and investigate the cause of the accident. The case is currently being further clarified according to regulations.
