AI cannot replace leadership thinking
In the context of AI and digital transformation changing the way businesses operate, many businesses believe that technology only truly works when it goes hand in hand with innovative management thinking.
Mr. Khong Van Thang - leader of Phu Kien Hung Real Estate Brokerage and Trading Joint Stock Company - said that the strength of businesses in the AI era lies not in owning the most modern technology but in the ability to change management thinking.
According to him, AI can help businesses understand the market faster through data analysis and optimize marketing activities, but the leader is still the one who makes strategic decisions.
He also emphasized that building a sustainable brand must start from corporate culture, putting customers at the center and maintaining the spirit of innovation in all activities.
Agreeing with this view, Mr. Nguyen Doan Kien Hung - Chairman of Gotime Eco Group - said that AI can predict trends very quickly, but product quality and customer trust are the foundation for sustainable development.
According to him, in the cosmetics sector, technology can support data analysis and consumer trend forecasting, but brand reputation, product quality and customer experience are the factors that determine long-term development. Reality shows that AI only helps increase the speed of information processing, while consumer confidence is still the most valuable asset of businesses in the digital age.

Creating motivation for small and medium enterprises
Recently, at the "The Future of Business" forum, Dr. Nguyen Van Than - Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (VINASME) - said that the small and medium enterprise sector currently accounts for about 98% of the total number of businesses nationwide, along with more than 5 million business households playing an important role in economic development and ensuring social security. According to him, this sector needs to create more room for development through stronger policies.
One of the notable proposals is to raise the revenue threshold applied to business households from 1 billion VND to 3 billion VND per year. According to him, adjusting the revenue threshold not only contributes to reducing tax policy pressure but also shows the State's confidence in the private economic sector.
He analyzed that each business household currently creates jobs for an average of 5-6 workers. With more than 5 million business households nationwide, this sector is contributing to solving jobs for more than 30 million people, playing an important role in ensuring social security.
In addition, the Chairman of VINASME also proposed the establishment of a specialized digital bank for small and medium-sized enterprises and business households to solve the problem of accessing capital. According to him, this model will support fast loans, reasonable interest rates and expand credit in the form of unsecured loans, and at the same time not replace the traditional banking system but play the role of a supplementary financial channel.
The Association also proposed renaming the Draft Law on Supporting Small and Medium Enterprises to the Law on Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, aiming to build a sustainable development ecosystem instead of just stopping at short-term support policies.
Dr. Nguyen Van Than assessed that major policies such as Resolution 57 on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation and Resolution 68 on private economic development are creating an important foundation for businesses to break through. According to him, in the face of increasing competitive pressure, businesses need to proactively innovate technology, improve management capacity, promote marketing, apply AI and digital transformation to improve competitiveness in the market.
