On March 26, the People's Committee of Dong Thap province decided to issue a List of perennial crops converted on remaining rice-growing land according to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 6 of Decree No. 112/2024/ND-CP dated September 11, 2024 of the Government detailing rice-growing land.

According to this Decision, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province shall preside over and coordinate with relevant provincial departments, branches and People's Committees of districts and cities to guide, inspect and supervise the conversion of perennial crop structure on remaining rice-growing land to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Law on Crop Production and current legal regulations; review, advise and submit to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for consideration, supplement and amend the list of perennial crops converted on remaining rice-growing land in accordance with the actual situation.
For the People's Committees of districts and cities, based on the list of perennial crops converted on remaining rice-growing land approved in this Decision and the Decision to issue the Plan to convert the structure of crops and livestock on annual rice-growing land in the province.
Districts and cities must select crops in accordance with land use plans, crop development orientations and in accordance with local production conditions to direct the development and approval of an effective and accurate annual crop structure conversion plan.
