Tourism planning, cultural preservation
On May 28, Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee just established a delegation to organize a field inspection in Dak Ro Wa commune, where a project is being implemented to invest in urban embellishment and create a land fund to serve the planning of a tourist - eco-tourism resort urban area combined with sports.
Dak Ro Wa commune is located by the Dak Bla river flowing upstream, formerly belonging to the territory of the old Kon Tum city. This area has great potential for community tourism development with cultural and tourist villages such as Kon K'tu, Kon Klor, where brocade weaving, can wine brewing and the Central Highlands gong cultural space are still preserved.
According to the plan, Quang Ngai province is expected to invest nearly 384 billion VND for the project from land use revenue and other legal capital sources.
The goal is to create a clean land fund to attract investors with financial potential to participate in the development of eco-tourism resorts combined with sports, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.

However, the project is still facing many difficulties related to compensation and site clearance; allocated capital is still limited; implementation time is prolonged and the auction and exploitation of land funds have not met expectations.
Ecotourism, long-term development orientation
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sam - Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee requested Dak Ro Wa Commune People's Committee to coordinate with relevant units to continue to review and strictly manage the recovered land fund; urgently plant markers and determine the boundaries of the cleared locations to avoid encroachment and disputes.
At the same time, Dak Ro Wa Commune People's Committee coordinates with Kon Tum Ward People's Committee to soon complete the dossier and procedures for zoning planning, and submit it to competent authorities for consideration and comments.
In the western region of Quang Ngai, in addition to orienting the development of renewable energy such as hydropower, wind power, and solar power, the locality is also prioritizing attracting investment in large-scale tourism and resort projects.
Notably, in Mang Den, the Urban Area No. 1 project invested by Sun World Group Co., Ltd. is being accelerated by the province in site clearance to allocate land for implementation.
The project has a total investment of about 6,647 billion VND (excluding compensation and resettlement support costs), implemented in the period 2025 - 2034.
The goal of the project is to form a comprehensive sports and healthcare urban area; build a cultural valley combining a variety of housing, services, resort tourism, accommodation and commercial facilities, with an expected population size of about 7,738 people.
