At the TKV Workers' Conference 2025 held this morning (March 19), a representative of the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) said: In recent years, the Group has continued to improve regulations and rules to build harmonious and progressive labor relations. In 2024, the Group will continue to maintain stable jobs and income for employees.
After Typhoon Yagi, units quickly arranged workers to return to work after nearly a week of recovery. On days of stopping production, workers are given a day off, take a day off work to help their families overcome the consequences of the storm and pay their severance pay. Some units have encountered difficulties in production and business but TKV has promptly supported wages for workers.
Labor safety, hygiene, and improvement of working conditions are the tasks that TKV puts first, throughout the production and business process, the entire Group has invested in this work with a total amount of 1.4 trillion VND, equal to 101.7% of the plan.
The average salary of the whole Group reached 17.95 million VND/person/month, an increase of 9.2% compared to the plan and an increase of 1.1% compared to the implementation in 2023; of which the underground coal sector was 20.5 million VND/person/month.
After balancing production and business efficiency, TKV and units have balanced increasing the salary fund compared to the plan; supplementing year-end salary. This is the third consecutive year that TKV has added salaries to units to harmoniously share benefits between employers and employees.

In 2024, there will be 7 workers with an income of over 700 million VND, over 11,591 miners with an income of over 300 million VND/year, accounting for 47% of the total number of miners, an increase of 8% compared to 2023.
The Group also implements specific welfare policies of the industry to better care for the health and life of workers, including 450 lung washing cases/year at a cost of VND 22.5 billion; organizes sightseeing for people, orients to build workers' housing in the basement; continues to develop a model of picking up and dropping off workers from work every day by sleeper bus to help units stabilize the workforce; effectively implement the allowance regime with in-kind benefits, shift meals and qualitative diets.
The Group still focuses on training and fostering to improve the qualifications of employees. The total expenditure for training and fostering in 2024 is 965 billion VND, continuing to implement the English and Modern Mining Business Administration Training Program for the 2024-2025 school year with a total period of 9 months, 3 months domestically and 6 months abroad;
Promote the scholarship program, organize training and fostering for 3.7 thousand people, an increase of 10% compared to the plan; train to improve knowledge about occupational safety and hygiene for officers at the construction site and workshop level.
Continue to listen to and absorb the opinions of workers in a timely manner, actively participate in dialogue, build harmonious labor relations, and work with the TKV Trade Union to take care of the rights and regimes for workers (support the construction and repair of houses under the trade union shelter program, support the construction of policy houses; support overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3; welfare regimes for workers on the occasion of Lunar New Year...).
