On September 22, the Cao Bang Provincial Labor Federation said that the unit had just coordinated with the Department of Home Affairs and the Provincial Police to organize propaganda and dissemination of laws on drug prevention and control for union members and workers in the area.
The activity took place in two days, September 21st and 22nd, in Tra Linh and Trung Khanh communes, with the participation of more than 100 union members, workers and employers from businesses in the area.
The content of drug prevention and control is integrated into the conference to propagate and disseminate policies and laws on occupational safety and health; occupational accident and disease insurance organized by the Department of Home Affairs of Cao Bang province.
At the conference, reporters from Cao Bang Provincial Police disseminated basic legal regulations on drug prevention and control; information on the situation, risks and harms of drugs to the health and lives of workers, families and society.
Delegates were also instructed on skills to identify and prevent acts related to drugs; raise awareness of law compliance and responsibility to participate in fighting and preventing this social evil at businesses as well as in residences.
According to the Cao Bang Provincial Labor Federation, direct propaganda organization helps workers proactively recognize risks, protect themselves and promptly coordinate with functional agencies when detecting signs of violations.
This is also a solution that contributes to limiting the impacts of drugs on health, labor productivity and security and order at enterprises.
Through coordination activities, the Trade Union organization continues to promote its role in propaganda, dissemination, and legal education, while caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
Thereby, contributing to building a safe and healthy working environment, enhancing the responsibility of workers, civil servants, and laborers in drug prevention and control in Cao Bang province.
