On January 13, the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held a ceremony to hand over the Trade Union Shelter to two union members with difficult housing circumstances in Thanh Tri district. The two union members receiving support this time are Do Thi Bach Mai - union member of Thanh Tri 2 Primary School Union and Duong Nhu Huynh - union member of Lam Kiet Commune Union.
Union member Do Thi Bach Mai is currently an accountant at Thanh Tri 2 Primary School. Her family is low-income, all living expenses depend on her salary and her husband's salary, who is a civil servant at the People's Committee of Tuan Tuc Commune. Mai herself unfortunately has a serious illness called systemic lupus erythematosus and is undergoing treatment. The family also faces many difficulties with housing and is living with her husband's parents.
Youth Union member Duong Nhu Huynh, Secretary of the Youth Union of Lam Kiet commune, is in a similar situation. Her family has land but does not have enough money to build a house, so they are currently living with her husband's parents.
Understanding the difficulties of the two union members, the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor decided to support each union member with 50 million VND from the Union Shelter Fund to build a new house. With this support, the two union members have a spacious shelter, helping them feel secure in their work and stabilize their lives.
At the house handover ceremony, Ms. Trinh Thi Bao Khuyen - Vice President of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor - congratulated the two union members. Ms. Khuyen hoped that the new house would be a motivation for the union members' families to overcome difficulties, improve their lives, and feel secure in their work and contribute to society.
