Implementing the goal of "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children", the Quang Tri Provincial Women's Union not only focuses on propaganda, social security support or gender-based violence prevention and control, but also gradually turns digital transformation and economic development into a new driving force to enhance the position of women.
According to the report on the results of activities in the first 6 months of 2026, Association levels have focused on implementing many solutions to help women access technology, improve digital skills and create conditions for economic development, contributing to narrowing the gender gap in the context of national digital transformation.
One of the highlights is the "Digital Education for All" movement being implemented synchronously throughout the province. To date, 100% of grassroots Associations have fully participated in training classes on digital transformation, and at the same time coordinated to guide members, women and people to carry out administrative procedures on the online public service system as well as effectively use the "Vietnamese Women" application.
The dissemination of digital skills not only helps members access public services more conveniently but also gradually forms the habit of applying technology in learning, labor and daily life. This is considered an important foundation for women to confidently participate in the digital environment and adapt to new development requirements.
Along with digital transformation are activities to enhance economic empowerment for women. In the first 6 months of the year, the Associations at all levels have supported livelihood models, lending without interest, supporting breeds, and working days for 365 poor female members with a total budget of more than 550 million VND and 660 working days.
In many localities, mutual support models among members continue to be effective. From revolving capital, supporting plants and breeds to helping with production labor days, many women in difficult circumstances have had more conditions to develop the family economy, improve income and stabilize their lives.
Policy credit activities are also continuing to be effectively implemented by Association levels. As of April 30, 2026, 77/78 Commune and Ward Women's Unions participated in receiving entrusted loans through the Social Policy Bank. The total outstanding debt of capital sources managed by the Association reached more than 4,581 billion VND, supporting 55,717 women to borrow capital to develop production and business.
Notably, the overdue debt ratio is only 0.03%, showing that the efficiency of capital management as well as the awareness of capital use of members is increasingly improved. Preferential credit capital has become a "lever" to help many women boldly invest in production development, expand business models, create more jobs and increase income.
According to the Quang Tri Provincial Women's Union, in the coming time, digital transformation will continue to be identified as one of the breakthroughs. The Union will implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; build "Digital Family", "Community Women's Digital Transformation Group" models, organize training classes to improve digital capacity for officials and members and mobilize women to actively participate in digital platforms.
Linking the implementation of gender equality with digital transformation and economic empowerment is opening up more opportunities for Quang Tri women to promote their abilities and affirm their roles in the family and society. This is also an important foundation for all levels of the Union to continue to effectively implement the goal of comprehensive women's development, contributing to building a sustainable community in the new period.
