The seminar was organized by the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF). Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Mr. Vu Van Tien, Member of the Presidium, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front chaired.
At the seminar, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying the necessity and requirements for developing a scientific research orientation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the current period; general assessment of the results achieved and the shortcomings and limitations in the scientific research activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in recent times; analysis and clarification of the role of theoretical research, summarizing practice in the organization and operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the new period, thereby proposing the contents and orientations for scientific research of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the 2026-2030 period.
Presenting his speech, Mr. Ta Van Sy - former Director of the Center for Cadre Training and Scientific Research of the Vietnam Fatherland Front said that in the period of 2026-2030, it is necessary to focus on studying the theoretical and practical basis of the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the political system, in line with the process of building a socialist rule-of-law state; research on innovation of the organization, apparatus, content and methods of operation of the Front in the context of streamlining, efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency; research on the application of science and technology, especially digital technology, big data, artificial intelligence in the work of grasping public opinion, monitoring and social criticism;
Along with that, it is necessary to focus on research on promoting democracy, consolidating the great national unity bloc in the new context of the country and the world, focusing on disadvantaged groups, ethnic minorities, and religions; researching international experience in the activities of the front, political alliances, and civil society organizations; applying them in accordance with Vietnam's conditions; researching cadres' work and training of Front human resources, especially research capacity, policy analysis, and innovation.
Dr. Nguyen Van Hung - former Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization said that in order to innovate content and methods, improve the role, responsibility, and operational efficiency of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the new era, the Vietnam Fatherland Front needs to orient some main contents that need to be scientifically studied, for the period 2026-2030.
In particular, it is necessary to build and perfect the organization, mechanism of operation and strengthen the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the period of 2026-2030; affirming the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in promoting socialist democracy and the people's mastery in the new era of national development. In addition, it is necessary to study and apply the national great unity strategy in the new development era of the country; study the supervision role of the people towards the State in the context of implementing two-level local government. From there, gradually innovate the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the context of digital transformation.
Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front said that scientific research is one of the important tasks in the organization and operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The scientific research activities of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front have always been maintained with a diverse and rich research framework and content and have achieved positive results. Scientific topics and projects researched in recent years have contributed to clarifying many theoretical and legal issues related to the position, role, functions and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; have studied and evaluated the current situation of the Fatherland Front at all levels in many fields from the central to local levels, on that basis, many valuable solutions have been proposed for practical application.
According to Ms. Ha Thi Nga, the proposed and analyzed contents of the delegates attending the seminar show a comprehensive picture of the requirements and desires in the implementation of tasks, thereby clearly defining research activities in each stage and needing to be supplemented according to practical requirements; at the same time, identifying annual research tasks to conduct more disciplined and effective research activities, ensuring unity, not dispersation and promoting the participation of civil servants working at the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.
Vice President Ha Thi Nga also noted that in the coming time, it is necessary to continue to focus on studying issues of great national unity, innovating the content, form of operation, and organization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; improving the effectiveness of supervision and social criticism; promoting the role of the people in building the Party and government; researching and replicating typical models with influence among the people.
According to Ms. Ha Thi Nga, the development of research orientation needs to ensure "6 clear" in the spirit of the direction of General Secretary To Lam, promoting the participation of experts, and at the same time each topic must have a wide application in the Front system", Vice President Ha Thi Nga suggested and believed that with specific, comprehensive and strategic scientific research orientations, the research activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will increasingly focus and be effective, contributing to enhancing the great role of the Front in implementing political tasks, firmly consolidating the great national unity bloc, and developing the country in the new period.
