On the afternoon of November 28, before the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2025 - 2030, the delegation organized a tree planting to implement the project "Dai Doan Nhat Bao Huong Garden" in Chanh Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
The program was attended by Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Also attending were Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, along with nearly 500 delegates.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said that the Resolution of the First Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, has set a target of maintaining a stable forest cover ratio of 11% and the goal of "increasing urban green area to 5.5 m2/person". To contribute to the implementation of the Resolution of the City Party Congress, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has launched the movement of a City of many Colors.
The movement is implemented with the goal of building a green - clean - beautiful urban area, spreading the spirit of nature love, environmental protection and improving the quality of life of the people of Ho Chi Minh City.
Through tree planting activities, green space care, the formation of roads, alleys, and residential areas with brilliant flowers, the movement has attracted the widespread participation of the community. Through this, the role of the people in building a civilized, modern, and humane city is strongly promoted.
At the program, delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress of Ho Chi Minh City planted 500 trees to carry out the project "Dai Doan Kiem Garden".
Also at the program, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City presented a plaque of gratitude to individuals, organizations, and businesses accompanying the program and presented 100,000 trees to implement the project of the City of colorful flowers launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
It is known that the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2025 - 2030, will officially take place for 1.5 days (November 29 and morning of November 30 at the Binh Duong Exhibition Convention Center. The congress is expected to have 880 delegates, including 500 official delegates and 380 invited delegates.
