According to Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province - in the past term, the Fatherland Front (VFF) at all levels in the province has been proactive, creative, and achieved many outstanding results in implementing the Resolution of the 12th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024-2029, along with other regular and ad hoc tasks.
In particular, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Ninh province continues to strongly innovate the content and methods of propaganda; diversify forms, improve the quality of communication products, and implement digital transformation in information work. The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations have coordinated propaganda through specialized pages and columns in newspapers and internal newsletters, while effectively promoting the Vietnam Fatherland Front Fanpage system at all levels, building and operating the Zalo mini App "Quang Ninh Digital Frontline".
Tens of thousands of articles and reports have been published, vividly reflecting the activities of the Front from the grassroots, propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front's action programs, patriotic emulation movements, and resolutions of the Central and the province. The content focuses on disseminating the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolutions of the 15th and 16th National Party Congresses of Quang Ninh Province, along with important directives, resolutions, circulars and decisions related to local socio-economic development.
The work of grasping the people's situation, reflecting and proposing solutions to handle unexpected and outstanding incidents has been proactively and promptly implemented. The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels actively mobilizes cadres, union members, association members and people to participate in responding and effectively implementing socio-economic development tasks, especially in site clearance, compensation, support and resettlement for key projects, creating high consensus in society, contributing to accelerating the implementation of dynamic projects, improving the quality of people's lives.
One of the outstanding highlights is the innovation and improvement of the quality of organizing the National Great Unity Festival in residential areas. In particular, in 2024, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee coordinated with the Provincial Military Command to organize a Festival to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024).
The festival will be held simultaneously at 1,452/1,452 residential areas across the province on November 10, 2024, with many practical activities such as: Visiting and giving gifts to disadvantaged families; giving Great Unity houses; organizing activities " use of gratitude", environmental sanitation, contributing to building new rural areas and civilized urban areas. This activity has truly become a great festival for the entire people, spreading the spirit of solidarity and attachment in the community.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province focuses on performing well the function of supervision, social criticism and participating in building the Party and government. During the 2020-2025 term, the whole province has organized over 500 supervisions in the fields of economy, culture, society, social security, administrative reform, security and order. The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations directly organized 15 thematic supervisions and 3 social criticism sessions on draft resolutions submitted to the Provincial People's Council, and directly supervised 18 Party Committee Secretaries and Chairmen of Commune-level People's Committees.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels also held 674 conferences to collect public comments on draft documents of the 16th Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Congress of Delegates, attracting more than 56,600 participants, with 3,502 comments.
During the process of collecting opinions on the draft Resolution amending and supplementing the 2013 Constitution and the draft Laws submitted to the 15th National Assembly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has compiled 132,486 opinions, honestly reflecting the people's thoughts and aspirations to competent authorities.
Implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, associated with the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has promoted its leading role, coordinating member organizations to carry out many humanitarian and practical activities.
Every year, the Front organizes a campaign to mobilize and give hundreds of thousands of Tet gifts to poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households. In the period of 2020-2025 alone, the whole province has presented 208,279 Tet gifts, with a total value of more than 143.9 billion VND; supported the construction and repair of 472 Great Unity houses, 93 hygienic wastewater reactors, with a total cost of 27.23 billion VND.
The Provincial Fatherland Front also coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to eliminate 100% of newly arising temporary and dilapidated houses, contributing to improving the lives of people in disadvantaged areas, mountainous areas, and ethnic minorities. In 2025, responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Provincial Fatherland Front mobilized more than 18 billion VND to support people affected by storms and floods, and allocated 73.09 billion VND to support localities and households to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
When the Green Bay 58 tourist boat capsize in Ha Long Bay occurred, the Provincial Fatherland Front quickly mobilized and received 2.7 billion VND in support, promptly visited and helped the victims and their families, demonstrating a spirit of humanity and responsibility to the community.
Along with innovating the content and methods of operation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Ninh province pays special attention to applying digital technology in management, operation and communication. The entire Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels has participated in the "Digital education civil servant" movement, established 53 core youth teams, organized nearly 300 digital skills training courses, helping over 10,000 people access and effectively use digital applications such as VNeID, online public services, and cashless payments.
The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has digitized 100% of archival documents, effectively using the Business Management Information System Software of Party agencies, processing and circulating documents completely on the network environment, minimizing the use of documents, contributing to administrative reform, and improving work productivity.
The application of digital platforms not only helps improve the quality of management work but also contributes to expanding interaction channels, connecting with people, increasing transparency, publicity and efficiency in the operations of the Front at all levels.
According to Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, to achieve the above results, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Ninh province has always received comprehensive and timely leadership from the Provincial Party Committee, Party committees at all levels, and close direction and guidance from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Mr. Thanh emphasized: The frontline must thoroughly grasp the idea of People are the root, considering the people as the center, subject, resource, driving force and also the goal of the great national unity bloc. All activities of the Front must come from the legitimate needs and aspirations of the people; taking the people's satisfaction as a measure of work results and evaluating cadres".
