On December 25, the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Fatherland Front and Central organizations solemnly held a solemn session, opening the 2025-2030 term with many new expectations.
Attending the congress, on the side of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Central organizations included Mr. Nguyen Phi Long - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations; Mr. Ngo Van Cuong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations.
On the side of the Central Youth Union, there were Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet - Standing Secretary of the Central Youth Union; President of the Central Youth Union of Vietnam.
Speaking at the opening of the solemn session, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Linh - Secretary of the Fatherland Front Committee and Central organizations affirmed that today's congress is a gathering, inheriting and continuing the long tradition, good values and valuable experiences of the previous Youth Union organizations. It is the crystallization of the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, dedication and aspiration of many generations of cadres and youth union members in the bloc.
"We have constantly innovated the content and methods of operation, promoting the proactive and creative role of young people in performing political and professional tasks.
In particular, in the context of many changes, especially the impact period of the COVID-19 epidemic and the requirement of strong digital transformation, the qualities of courage and sense of responsibility of the staff and youth union members have been clearly affirmed", Mr. Nguyen Nhat Linh shared.
One of the important contents is to announce the decisions of the Central Secretariat of the Youth Union related to personnel work. Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central Trade Unions of the First Tenure, 2025 - 2030, including 21 comrades, officially launched. The new term Standing Committee consists of 7 comrades, which are the core force, directly leading and directing the activities of the Youth Union in the entire bloc.
At the congress, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Linh was appointed by the Central Youth Union Secretariat to hold the position of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Youth Union for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Along with that, the two Deputy Secretaries, Ms. Nong Quynh Ngan and Mr. Phan Huy Thanh, contributed to completing the key leadership apparatus for the new term.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations expressed his joy at the results achieved by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations.
Orienting some key contents, Mr. Long said that the Youth Union of the Front needs to continue to thoroughly grasp the Party's policies, closely following the Resolution of the First Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Congress; firmly adhering to three major guiding viewpoints: taking the people as the center, combining democracy - discipline - rule of law and taking the results to be measurable as a measure.
According to Mr. Long, it is necessary to promote innovation in the content and methods of operation of the Youth Union, closely linked to the functions and tasks of each agency and unit in the bloc. It is necessary to strongly shift from "right direction" to "correct and sufficient results", from a formal movement to practical results; clearly defining "What, who does, when to do and how to measure, what results".
In addition, it is necessary to promote youth, accompany youth, and be a bridge between youth and the Party and the State to advise on mechanisms and policies, promote youth in various fields, especially in the context of promoting science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.
Also at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet - Standing Secretary of the Central Youth Union said that today's congress is an opportunity to affirm the role, responsibility and space of dedication of young people in preparing resources, creating an ideological foundation, and being ready for the upcoming major events of the Party, the country and the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Mr. Triet assessed that the activities of the Youth Union are increasingly close to political tasks, promoting the role of a bridge between the Party and the people, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc.
"Although it was only established in June 2025, you have shown the ability to mobilize social resources worth billions of VND to support people in difficulty due to natural disasters and epidemics, contributing to spreading the image of the youth of the front. The promotion of digital transformation as well as the application of artificial intelligence have also contributed to improving the consulting efficiency of the Youth Union staff," said Mr. Triet.
The working day of the congress took place with a high sense of responsibility, unity and consensus. The contents announced and discussed at the solemn session have created an important foundation for organizing the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations to enter their first term with the determination to strongly innovate, promote the pioneering and creative role of young people, make practical contributions to the implementation of political tasks of agencies and units and build a strong national solidarity bloc.
