At the closing session of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Trade Unions for the 2025-2030 term, Mr. Pham Ngoc Linh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations presented a speech on building a clean and strong Party Committee, innovating activities; gathering and uniting scientific and technological intellectuals, making worthy contributions to the country's development in the era of national growth.
Focus on improving the quality of training and mass education
Mr. Pham Ngoc Linh said that, implementing the streamlining and rearrangement of the organization to summarize Resolution 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Central Executive Committee (Ces) and the direction of the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, on February 10, 2025, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (Vietnam Union) was newly established on the basis of merging the Party Delegation and the Party Committee of the Vietnam Union under the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central organizations.
The Party Committee of the Vietnam Socialist Republic has seriously implemented the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and central organizations; accordingly, at the Central Office of the Vietnam Socialist Republic, the International Cooperation Committee with the Department of Science, Technology and Environment has been merged into the Department of Science and International Cooperation; the Association Policy Organizing Committee with the Office has been merged into the Office; the name of the Consulting, Reprimand and Social Assessment Board has been changed to the Consulting and Reprimand Board; the name of the Communication and Knowledge dissemination Board has been changed to the Knowledge Distribution Board. Thus, through the arrangement, 2 departments have been reduced, currently there are only 4 focal points (3 professional departments and offices).
After the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations issued a decision to establish a Party Committee and a regulation on the functions and tasks of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Union, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee has developed documents to perfect the organization of the Party Committee and clearly define the functions and tasks. With the new role of the Party organization merging the Party Delegation with the Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Association held a conference to disseminate the Resolutions and Directives of the Party, and at the same time train and improve Party work skills for Party cell committees at all levels.
Regarding the admission of new party members, the Party Committee directs the strict implementation of political and ideological education, awareness of motivation and enthusiasm for the party; focusing on improving the quality of training and mass education to stand in the ranks of the Party.
Each cadre and party member must raise awareness, political theory and ethics qualifications
According to Mr. Pham Ngoc Linh, in the coming time, it is forecasted that the international situation will continue to develop in a complex and unpredictable manner, but the trend of cooperation and development is still a big trend. In particular, science and technology will develop more strongly than ever, many new technologies appearing for the first time will be applied in all areas of life and society. After nearly 40 years of renovation, "our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as it has today" and is creating important premises for building and defending the Fatherland.
Our country is entering a new era - the era of building a prosperous country with the requirement to raise the level of intelligence and develop modern science and technology to create a breakthrough in the socio-economy so that by 2030 (the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party), Vietnam will be a developing country with modern industry and high average income; by 2045 (the 100th anniversary of the founding of the country) it will become a developed country with high income.
With such a high requirement and task, it requires the Party building work of the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to be innovated, assigning tasks to each Party cell and each cadre and Party member to raise awareness, political theory qualifications, ethics, exemplary responsibility, expertise, professionalism, sense of responsibility in advising and organizing the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies and laws and the State's policies and laws, in which promoting the strength of the Party's solidarity and the core political role of Party organizations; the responsibility to set an example, exemplary role models for cadres and Party members, the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor focuses on leading the excellent completion of political tasks of agencies and units, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 10th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation Party Committee.
With the motto "In intellectual - Responsible - Solidarity - Creativity - Development", in the coming time, the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is determined to "Build a clean and strong Party Committee, innovate its activities; gather and unite scientific and technological intellectuals to contribute worthily to the country's development in the era of national growth", carry out words and actions; create new position and strength, overcome all difficulties, constantly strive, practice qualities, ethics and working capacity, build a clean and strong Party Committee and Party cell, actively contribute to the entire Party, people and army to successfully carry out the goals and tasks of the first National Party Congress, Central organizations, the 2025-2030 term, the 14th National Party Congress of the entire country, and the entire country to take a strong and prolific step in the development of the country.
