Reality shows that initiatives originating from production practice, from optimizing operations, improving production lines to applying technology... in all localities have been and are bringing very specific values.
Thanks to the application of initiatives in production, many businesses improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase competitiveness. Workers also gradually improve their income, working conditions, and have more opportunities to assert their capabilities.
It is worth mentioning that behind each initiative is not only a technical solution, but also a change in the perception of the role of workers.
From mainly following available procedures, they are increasingly proactive in observing, thinking and proposing improvements. This proactiveness creates a very important endogenous resource for business development.
However, for the creative movement to really go far, in addition to launching movements and unexpected rewards for "initiative trees" as before, businesses and trade union organizations need to have more actions to nurture and maintain motivation for workers.
For example, it is necessary to include rewards based on profit value from employee initiatives in collective labor agreements. This is to overcome the common situation in businesses where rewards for employees with profit initiatives are often only unexpected rewards, depending on the pocket, level of recognition and generosity of each business owner, instead of having specific regulations and being associated with profit value.
If concretized by clear ratios and figures, this is not only a more transparent way to recognize for workers, but also helps turn initiatives from spiritual motivation into a practical benefit, creating a sustainable foundation to encourage creativity in businesses.
It can be seen that the initiative movement launched by the VGCL in the past time, in addition to specific figures on profit value, has also been and is contributing to the formation of a new working culture. So that each worker can become a true "creative person" in their own work.
But for this meaningful initiative journey to continue to spread, the parties, especially the role of the Trade Union organization, must ensure that the important thing is to maintain harmony between the interests of businesses and workers, between economic efficiency and human values.
Only when workers clearly feel the recognition and development opportunities from their contributions, creativity will no longer be a temporary movement, but become a sustainable driving force, accompanying the development of businesses.
