Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang has just signed and issued a Plan on implementing Action Program No. 06-CTr/TU dated January 12, 2026 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to implement Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW dated September 9, 2025 of the Politburo on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health.

Deploying a cooperation model between central hospitals, ministries, branches, and city-level hospitals with grassroots healthcare.

March 2026, artificial intelligence (AI) pilot at 3 hospitals (Duc Giang General Hospital, Xanh Pon General Hospital, Hanoi Oncology Hospital): AI analyzes images (X-rays, CT, MRI, ...) to detect early cancer, stroke, cardiovascular disease and support doctors in making clinical decisions.

Commune and ward People's Committees shall invest in upgrading infrastructure, medical equipment, and human resources for health stations to ensure standards according to regulations to perform the task of primary health care and manage people's health according to the life cycle.

In the second quarter of 2026, invest in building the Hanoi Center for Drug, Cosmetic and Food Testing to meet international standards.
