Loss of millions of money because being scammed into booking a hospital check-up
A parent searched for information about booking a check-up for her child at Bach Mai Hospital online and accidentally fell into a scam. When clicking on the advertisement leading to the website https://timkiemtrogiup.com/, this person entered the keyword "reserved to see a doctor at Bach Mai Hospital" and called the display hotline number.
After the discussion, the "general" instructed them to make friends on Zalo to confirm the booking. Next, the customer receives the QR code with the request to transfer 600,000 VND. It was not until the next morning, when he took his child to the hospital, that he was shocked and discovered that his name was not on the registration list. All Zalo messages have been revoked, and their contact numbers have been blocked. In addition to the scammed money, customers also have to pay a high call fee, 8,000 VND/minute.

Booking an online medical examination schedule is becoming a big demand, but there are also many risks if you do not carefully check the source of information. Bach Mai Hospital warns people to only book appointments through official channels to avoid falling into scams.
Another situation of forgery is happening. The Aesthetic Center (108 Central Military Hospital) issued a notice: Currently, a number of outside cosmetic facilities, especially the one in Do Duc Duc (Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi), are using sophisticated tricks to impersonate the Aesthetic Center and the 108 Central Military Hospital. This behavior not only defrauds customers but also seriously affects the reputation of the hospital.
Popular forms of impersonation such as approaching customers in front of hospital gates: Impersonating consultants to attract customers to outside facilities to provide services.
Impersonating doctors and hospital staff: Call and text to care for customers to create trust, then guide them to an address not affiliated with the 108 Central Military Hospital.
Fake advertising: Using the image and brand of a hospital to cause confusion, making customers trust and choose unsecured services.

The 108 Military Central Hospital Aesthetic Center recommends that the Center does not have any outside facilities. All cosmetic services are performed alone at the hospital, strictly following the medical process to ensure safety and quality for customers.
The Department of Psychiatry (National Children's Hospital) also issued a notice of the appearance of sophisticated scams impersonating departments to profit through courses and training courses for children and parents. Popular scams such as creating fake social media accounts and websites: Using images of individuals/organizations of the Department of Psychology to deceive parents; editing and editing false images: Propagating untrue information, causing panic.
Many new tricks
The fake method is increasingly sophisticated. Not only did they create a fanpage with a name similar to the hospital's name, the subjects also used many tricks such as: Forging doctors and medical staff: Personal accounts were created with the names and images of famous doctors, then texting health advice and instructing them to transfer money for medical examination and treatment.
Use Facebook advertising to reach patients: Some fake pages run advertisements on Facebook, targeting those who are interested in medical services, causing many people to mistakenly think this is an official fanpage.
Create fake websites: Some bad guys also create websites with the same interface as the official hospital's website, posting false information about medical services, and then asking patients to transfer deposits.
Tuition to buy drugs and functional foods of unknown origin: Fake fanpages often post advertisements for drugs and functional foods with "magic" effects, along with attractive invitations such as "shocking discounts", "buy 1 get 1".
The serious consequences of being scammed have occurred as many people believe in advertisements on fake pages, transfer money to book medical appointments but then cannot contact this fanpage again; Receive false health advice: Some patients trust "fake doctors", arbitrarily use drugs or treat according to false instructions, seriously affecting their health; Steal personal information: When patients provide personal information (CMND, health insurance card, phone number), bad guys can use it to carry out other fraudulent acts.
