On November 21, Hai Phong City People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the Project to implement a number of contents to build Hai Phong City's digital government in the period of 2021 - 2025 (Hai Phong City Digital Government Project).

In recent years, Hai Phong City has promoted the construction and development of e-government towards digital government with many solutions applying information technology to serve the management and settlement of administrative procedures. On November 4, 2021, the City People's Council issued Resolution No. 45/NQ-HDND on the investment policy of the Hai Phong City Digital Government Project. The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Information and Communications as the project investor.
Accordingly, the project aims to achieve the following goals: 100% of administrative procedures that meet the legal requirements are provided in the form of level 4 online public services; 100% of people and businesses when using online public services are identified and authenticated seamlessly and consistently across all systems of government levels from central to local; 100% of city-level state agencies participate in opening data and providing open data to serve the development of digital government, digital economy, and digital society.
Regarding the digital platform for building the integrated data sharing platform (LGSP) of Hai Phong City, up to now, it has connected 23 databases and information systems of central ministries and branches.
With the goal of forming a digital government of Hai Phong City that is transparent, effective and convenient in administrative management, providing online public services; taking people and businesses as the center, the subject and the goal and driving force of digital transformation, the Hai Phong City Digital Government Project was officially launched as a digital interaction channel, narrowing the gap between the government and people and businesses operating in the city.
