The workshop "Ho Chi Minh era ministries: 80 years of dedication to national and ethnic service" opened on July 28 in Hanoi as part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the diplomatic sector, towards the grand ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country.

In particular, after merging the Central Commission for External Relations and receiving part of the tasks of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee, the diplomatic sector has the opportunity to further promote the combined strength of Party foreign affairs, State diplomacy and people's foreign affairs to well undertake the pioneering role and important, regular tasks assigned by the Party, State and people" - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son said.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs suggested that the workshop promote the high level of intelligence, focus on exchanges to clarify a number of issues, including: Summarizing 80 years of historical practice, contributing to perfecting the theory of modern Vietnamese diplomacy in both aspects of foreign affairs and industry building; identifying the content of diplomacy in the new era, especially concretizing the "essential, regular" task; Proposing measures to improve the effectiveness of foreign affairs and diplomacy in the new situation...
