According to the assignment of the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports has just issued a Decision officially establishing the Vietnamese Sports Delegation to participate in ASIAD 20.
This Congress officially takes place in Aichi-Nagoya (Japan) from September 19 to October 4.
The Vietnamese sports delegation participated with 498 members. Among them, we have 348 athletes competing.
The Vietnamese sports delegation has 1 Head and 1 Deputy Head.
Deputy Director of the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, takes on the role of Head of the delegation.
The Deputy Head of the delegation is Mr. Hoang Quoc Vinh (Head of the High-Performance Sports Department (Department of Physical Education and Sports of Vietnam)).
The Vietnamese sports delegation will focus on the task of striving to win from 4 to 6 gold medals.
3 spearhead sports, karate, sepak takraw, and shooting, are tasked with defending the gold medal they won at ASIAD 19.
The composition of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation participating in ASIAD 20, in addition to leaders, the number of officials is 12 members. The number of medical staff on duty in the Vietnamese Sports Delegation participating in ASIAD 20 is 7 members.
ASIAD 20 will organize 43 official sports (71 sub-sports), including 469 competition events.
