The Organizing Committee of the 2025 National Golf Championship said that it is expected that 150 of Vietnam's top golfers will participate in the tournament. Some players of the Vietnam Golf Team such as Nguyen Anh Minh, Le Khanh Hung, Le Chuc An... are expected by fans to achieve the best results in the competition.
This year's tournament officially took place from August 18 to August 23. The golf department (Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports) and the Vietnam Golf Association will evaluate the results of the athletes at the tournament to be one of the facilities to select athletes for the 33rd SEA Games.
According to regulations, golfers eligible to compete in the 2025 national championship are professional athletes with Vietnamese nationality, amateur athletes with a handicap index of no higher than 5.0 for men and 10.0 for women.
The tournament is organized in a stick-fighting format through 4 rounds of 18 holes (total of 72 holes). After the first 36 holes, the Organizing Committee will select 50 men's and 12 women's teams with the best results to continue. The champion is the one with the lowest total (gross) points when the tournament closes.
It is known that the Organizing Committee will award the champion of the men's group 180 million VND and the champion of the women's group will receive a prize of 60 million VND.
In 2024, the champion of the men's group was golfer Nguyen Duc Son and the champion of the women's group was athlete Le Chuc An.
