On December 3, Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Nguyen Xuan Vu and VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu visited the Hanoi Club's Training Center to visit player Nguyen Van Truong, who is being treated for injury after surgery.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the VFF Executive Committee, Vice President Nguyen Xuan Vu sent words of encouragement, health check-ups and encouraged Van Truong to stay optimistic, make efforts to recover to return to the field soon, and continue to contribute to Vietnamese football. VFF will continue to accompany Hanoi club to create the best conditions for Nguyen Van Truong to recover soon and return to the field, contributing to Vietnamese football.
General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu conveyed the greetings of VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan to the players, and at the same time discussed with doctors and professional departments about Van Truong's recovery process. General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu encouraged Van Truong to feel secure in treatment and follow the doctor's treatment regimen to achieve the best results.
Representative of Hanoi club, Executive Director Le Trong Thuy thanked VFF for their attention to Van Truong, the club will closely coordinate with VFF's functional departments to create the best conditions for the young midfielder to recover and return to the field soon.
Nguyen Van Truong was born in 2003, injured in the match between U23 Vietnam and U23 Korea at the 2025 Panda Cup friendly tournament (China), after a collision with an opponent in an unfavorable position, leading to a regrettable ligament injury.
As soon as he returned to Vietnam, Van Truong was examined by a team of specialists and underwent first-instance cruciate ligament surgery successfully. He is currently actively treating and maintaining an optimistic spirit during his recovery.
