Vietnam Boxing Federation receives resignation letter from General Secretary

Vice President cum General Secretary of the Vietnam Boxing Federation, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, has submitted his resignation letter.

The resignation letter was sent to the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Boxing Federation on June 21, signed by Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung is currently in charge of the role of Vice President cum General Secretary of the Vietnam Boxing Federation for term 2 (2023-2026).

According to the wishes stated in the resignation letter, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung wants to resign from the positions of General Secretary and Head of the Organizing Committee and referees of the Vietnam Boxing Federation for term 2 (2023-2028).

However, the decision on the wishes of Vice President cum General Secretary Nguyen Duy Hung will be considered by the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Boxing Federation for specific notice.

In mid-April this year, the Vietnam Boxing Federation for term 2 (2023-2028) announced that the Executive Committee unanimously elected Mr. Pham Quang Long to hold the position of Chairman.

Previously, Mr. Long was Vice President of the Vietnam Boxing Federation for this term. The election of Mr. Pham Quang Long to take on the role of President after the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Boxing Federation approved the resignation of the former President, Mr. Luu Tu Bao.

In early June, the Vietnam Boxing Federation announced the decision to establish a representative office of the Federation in Hanoi city.

The representative office is a unit directly under the Vietnam Boxing Federation, with the function of representing the Federation in transactions, communication, and coordination with state management agencies, local sports organizations and partners in the Northern region.

The specific tasks of the Representative Office are specified in the Regulations on the organization of the Vietnam Boxing Federation and the direct direction of the Federation Chairman...", one of the contents in the notice.

Previously, the Vietnam Boxing Federation only had offices in the Southern region.
