On August 10, the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports officially appointed Mr. Pham Hoang Tung to the position of Director of the National High-Level Athlete Training Center.
Before taking on this responsibility, Mr. Pham Hoang Tung was the Director of the National Young Athlete Training Center in Da Nang.
The National Senior Athlete Training Center was formerly the Hanoi National Sports Training Center.
Before there was a director, the center's manager was the Deputy Director in charge, Mr. Nguyen Anh Minh.
The National Senior Athlete Training Center is a place to gather and train key national teams of Vietnamese Sports.
This year, many national sports teams performing ASIAD 20 tasks such as shooting, athletics, karate, wrestling, judo, weightlifting, archery, sepak takraw, gymnastics, jujitsu, boxing... are training here to aim for the task of winning the highest achievement.
According to the functions and tasks of the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports promulgated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the National High-Level Athlete Training Center is 1 of 8 public non-business units managed by the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports.
