The 2026 Asian pencak silat Championship has ended after the men's and women's sparring finals on the evening of July 22.
With absolute professional advantage, the Vietnamese pencak silat team won 16 gold medals, 7 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals, holding the first place.
Last year, the Vietnamese pencak silat team won the No. 1 position at the 2025 Asian Championships when competing in Ha Tinh. This year, the Vietnamese martial artist successfully defended his ranking.
At this year's tournament, 16 championships of the Vietnamese pencak silat team were brought back from the achievements of the athletes: Tran Thi Kim Loan, Duong Thi Hai Quyen, Le Thi Van Anh, Nguyen Le Quynh Chi, Pham Thi Phuong Thuy, Tran Thi Diep, Le Quynh Anh, Nguyen Quang Linh, Vu Van Kien, Vo Thanh Hieu, Nguyen Tan Sang, Dinh Tien Cuu, Cao Van Quy, Le Van Toan, Le Ngoc Vu and Nguyen Thi Yen Linh.
The only absence of the Vietnamese pencak silat team in this year's tournament is martial artist Tran Duy Tuyen. Duy Tuyen has retired from the national team since the beginning of 2026.
This year, the 2026 Asian Championship attracts 9 teams to compete in Dong Nai city.
On the overall results table, ranked 2nd, after the host Vietnam is Indonesia with 6 gold medals, 4 silver medals.
The Malaysian team is ranked 3rd with a result of 5 gold medals, 6 silver medals, 2 bronze medals.
