On August 25 in Romania, shooter Trinh Thu Vinh won the bronze medal in the women's 25m sports pistol event at the 2025 Asian Shooting Championship.
Four Vietnamese shooters participated in the qualifying round, only Trinh Thu Vinh passed to enter the final with 581 points.
Shooters Nguyen Thuy Dung (575 points), Nguyen Thuy Trang (573 points), Nguyen Thi Huong (561 points) did not enter the final.
In the final, after the shots, Trinh Thu Vinh won 29 points for third place, receiving a bronze medal. This is Trinh Thu Vinh's first individual medal at the 2025 Asian Shooting Championship.
At the same time, she won the medal for the first time in the 25m women's sports pistol event at the Asian tournament. The champion of the event was Chinese shooter Zhang Yueyue (39 points) and the runner-up was teammates Xiao Jiaruixuan.
Previously, Trinh Thu Vinh participated in the women's 10m air pistol event but did not win a medal.
Currently, the Vietnam Shooting Team temporarily has the result of a gold medal, a silver medal and two bronze medals at the 2025 Asian Shooting Championship. The next events for men's handwriting will continue, and Vietnamese shooters are predicted to achieve the highest results. The tournament will close on August 29 local time.
