On the afternoon of August 15, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to announce the issuance of a set of stamps with the theme "80 years - Glory of the Vietnam People's Public Security (CAND)".
Major General Pham Kim Dinh - Director of the Department of Political Affairs, Ministry of Public Security, authorized by the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, chaired the ceremony. Also attending the ceremony were Mr. La Hoang Trung - Director of the Post Office Department, Ministry of Science and Technology; leaders of units inside and outside the People's Public Security Forces.
Major General Pham Kim Dinh - Director of the Department of Political Affairs - said that the stamp set with the theme "80 years - the glory of the Vietnam People's Public Security" was issued by the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection.

In addition to the great communication significance of revolutionary tradition and the process of building, fighting and maturing of the People's Public Security Forces, the stamp set also introduces to friends around the world about the people and country of Vietnam, vividly depicting the noble image of the brave and humane People's Public Security soldiers, for the country to forget themselves, for the people to serve.
The stamp set is intended to commend the combined strength of the political system and the people in the movement "All people protect national security", in which the People's Public Security force is the core.
The stamp set "80 years - Glory of the Vietnam People's Public Security" was issued from August 15 to all police officers and soldiers nationwide and was communicated to 192 member countries of the United Nations Post Office (UPU), provided on the public postal network from August 15, 2025 to June 30, 2027.
Director of the Post Office Department La Hoang Trung said that the stamp set includes 1 stamp sample and 1 stamp block. In which, the stamp depicts the image of a friendly People's Public Security soldier, close to ethnic minorities in the highlands.
The stamp block model recreates the solemn parade formation of the People's Public Security force under the national flag and the badge of the Public Security sector. The image is sharply printed, with sophisticated lines on high-quality stamp paper, ensuring long-term preservation value both aesthetically and historically.
The stamp set not only serves the need for stamps but is also a valuable document for collection, research, and display activities, contributing to promoting the image of the People's Public Security soldier to international friends.This is also a vivid communication channel, helping the younger generation understand and appreciate more the contributions and sacrifices of generations of police officers and soldiers.
At the ceremony, the Department of Political Affairs presented the leaders of the Post Office with a stamp painting.Leaders of the Department of Political Affairs, the Post Office and Vietnam Post Corporation also signed the cover to issue the stamp set.
