On the morning of September 4, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong visited and met with officials and staff of the Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in China.
The President highly appreciated the staff of the Embassy, representative agencies, and permanent agencies of Vietnam in China for their great efforts, overcoming difficulties, and successfully completing the tasks assigned by the Party and State, especially effectively implementing foreign policy tasks, economic diplomacy, culture, overseas work of Vietnamese people, and the work of protecting sovereignty over islands.
The President also praised the spirit of solidarity and the efforts of the Vietnamese community in China, actively contributing to consolidating and promoting the "both comrade and brother" relationship between Vietnam and China, spreading the friendly and close image of the Vietnamese people to local and international friends.
The President said that the key leaders of the two Parties and the two countries of Vietnam and China have achieved common awareness of the need to continue solidarity, cooperation, strengthen and further deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, the Community of Shared Future of Vietnam - China of strategic significance.
The President suggested that the Embassy effectively implement foreign policy tasks; prioritize promoting and strengthening political trust, developing the Vietnam - China relationship stably, sustainably, in depth and substantially; focus on research work, closely following the local situation to provide timely advice to the Party and the State.
Along with that, according to the President, it is necessary to do a good job of economic diplomacy, taking people and businesses as the center of service; continue to do a good job of cultural diplomacy, people-to-people exchanges, consular work, taking care of the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese students in China.
Also on the morning of September 4, President Luong Cuong received a representative of the family of a Chinese friend.
The President expressed his joy and emotion at meeting with representatives of the families and relatives of former Vietnamese and Chinese experts, advisers and cadres who participated in helping the Vietnamese people in the two resistance wars for national independence; affirmed that they are the ones who have made great contributions to the revolutionary cause of Vietnam and the friendship between Vietnam and China.
The President affirmed that Vietnam respectfully remembers the help of Chinese advisors and experts who have shared the hardships with the Vietnamese people and also does not forget the Vietnamese soldiers who participated in the Chinese Red Army such as President Nguyen Son and his father who contributed to the cause of national liberation of the Chinese people as well as the Vietnamese people...
The President hopes that the relatives of the friendly people will always be healthy, continue to uphold and promote the revolutionary traditions of their ancestors, contributing to building and strengthening the development, stability, long-term sustainability and effectiveness of Vietnam - China relations in the coming time.
On this occasion, the President presented gifts to the representative of the family of a Chinese friend.
