The 2024 Concert and Art Performance Program "Unforgettable Song" is organized by the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
This is a meaningful event in the series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).
Attending the program were Comrade Tran Thanh Man - Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly; General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Minister of National Defense; Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen; Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Party Central Committee member, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army... and many leaders, former leaders of the Party, State, Ministry of National Defense, Ho Chi Minh City...
The Concert and Art Performance Program vividly and meaningfully recreated the heroic history of the Vietnamese people as well as the Vietnam People's Army in its 80-year journey of building, fighting and growing. The program is also a sincere gratitude, sending to generations of heroic cadres and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army, the most respectful and proud feelings.
At the program, delegates and audiences had the opportunity to enjoy performances that harmoniously combined immortal revolutionary songs adapted in the style of a semi-classical contemporary concert (Symphony Orchestra), along with vivid recreations of heroic historical moments.
The program includes 18 art performances, including 1 opening performance and 17 main performances, structured into 3 chapters: "The Fatherland in the Heart", "The Unforgettable Song" and "Forgetting Yourself for the People". The performances are elaborately and attractively staged, associated with the heroic tradition of the Vietnam People's Army with a history spanning 8 decades of shining heroic spirit.
With elaborate investment and gathering more than 1,000 artists and actors along with emotional performances, the program "Unforgettable Song" has evoked heroic memories, while clarifying the sacred meaning of revolutionary music in modern life.
