Delighted to welcome National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch highly appreciated Vietnam's role, position, breakthrough development and success in the socio-economic development strategy.
Appreciating the diverse composition of the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation and the significance of the visit by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man in the context that the two countries are moving towards the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the Prime Minister of Morocco suggested that the two countries further strengthen cooperation in various fields.
The National Assembly Chairman shared the purpose of the visit to continue the good development of parliamentary diplomatic cooperation between the two countries after the visit to Vietnam by the Speaker of the Marokese House of Representatives attending the Conference of the Executive Committee of the Francophone Parliamentary Alliance in Can Tho (January 2025), emphasizing political trust between the parliamentary bodies of the two countries is built on the basis of regular activities on sharing legislative experience, coordinating on multilateral parliamentary forums such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the Francophone Parliamentary Federation (APF).
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man suggested that the two sides increase delegation exchanges at all levels, especially in 2026 when the two countries celebrate the 65th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.
Assessing that economic and trade cooperation between the two countries is still modest compared to its potential, the National Assembly Chairman suggested that Morocco create conditions for market access for Vietnam's key goods such as agriculture, footwear, garments, seafood, etc. to study the possibility of adjusting, supplementing or negotiating and signing new trade agreements in accordance with the current development context of the two countries.
The National Assembly Chairman also suggested that Morocco coordinate in promoting exchanges and cooperation between the business communities of the two countries, creating favorable conditions for granting visas to Vietnamese citizens.
Morocco Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch also highly appreciated the activities within the framework of the visit of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, including the Policy Seminar to promote Vietnam - Morocco cooperation.
Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch said that Morocco is spending a lot of resources to invest in infrastructure development in large cities such as Casablanca, Marrakech... to prepare for hosting the World Cup in 2030, considering this as the main driving force for growth in the coming time of Morocco as also an opportunity for countries, including Vietnam, to increase investment in Morocco.
Agreeing with the assessment of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the Prime Minister of Morocco said that the two sides need to make further efforts to bring economic and trade cooperation commensurate with the political relations and potential of each country.
Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch hopes to soon visit Vietnam with a delegation of Mar offese businesses to promote economic cooperation between the two countries, promote and boost Mar offese tourism.
In a friendly and open atmosphere, the two leaders exchanged and agreed to promote two-way investment cooperation, serving as a gateway for each other to develop cooperation with each region.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man thanked and suggested that the Mar Mar off continue to pay attention and create favorable legal conditions for Vietnamese citizens and people of Mar off-road to stabilize their lives in Morocco, integrate well with the host country and contribute to the development of each country, as well as be a bridge for the Vietnam - Morocco relationship.
