On the afternoon of February 4, 2026, at the Great Hall of the People of China, within the framework of his visit to China, announcing the results of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Comrade Le Hoai Trung, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Special Envoy of General Secretary To Lam, met with Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the People's Republic of China.
On behalf of the Party and State of China, General Secretary and President Xi Jinping warmly congratulated the 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam on its resounding success; conveyed his best regards and congratulations to comrade To Lam on being trusted and continued to be elected as General Secretary of the new Central Committee of the Party; and expressed his joy and appreciation for the results of the phone call with General Secretary To Lam immediately after the 14th Congress was successfully held.
General Secretary and President Xi Jinping highly appreciated the XIV Congress for electing the new term leadership, proposing the theory of the renovation policy, opening a new era of development for the Vietnamese nation; expressed his belief that the Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by General Secretary To Lam will successfully implement the Resolution of the XIV Congress, successfully build socialism in accordance with the country's situation, and complete the two goals of "100 years" on the occasion of Party and national founding.
Sharing about the important results of the 14th Congress, Comrade Le Hoai Trung emphasized the assessment of the Communist Party of Vietnam that the Congress has fulfilled its great historical responsibility, deeply summarized the reality of the Vietnamese revolution after 40 years of renovation, and decided on strategic issues for the future and destiny of the Vietnamese nation in the new era of development.
