On December 27, Hai Phong City Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the establishment of the An Duong District Party Committee. Comrade Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee chaired the conference. Attending the conference was Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan.
According to the Decision of the Standing Committee of Hai Phong City Party Committee, the An Duong District Party Committee was established under the Hai Phong City Party Committee on the basis of the entire An Duong District Party Committee, including 39 Party Committees, grassroots Party cells and 7,333 Party members of the An Duong District Party Committee. The An Duong District Party Committee Executive Committee was appointed with 35 comrades; the District Party Committee Standing Committee with 11 comrades; the Secretary and 2 Deputy Secretaries of the District Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.
An Duong District Party Committee establishes specialized advisory and support agencies; grassroots party organizations under the District Party Committee; elects the District Party Committee Inspection Committee according to regulations; promulgates the Working Regulations and related regulations of the District Party Committee according to regulations.
Mr. Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee, requested the District Party Committee to ensure that the political system operates smoothly, without interruption, and without disrupting the lives of people and business activities of enterprises during the period of concentration. He requested the An Duong District Party Committee to fully and seriously implement the work contents according to the direction and guidance of the Central Committee and the City Party Committee, and promptly carry out the work of reviewing, arranging, and perfecting the organization and staff. On that basis, establish ward Party Committees and affiliated Party Committees in accordance with regulations, ensuring the principles of democratic centralism and unity in leadership and management.
Along with that, continue to focus on strengthening propaganda work, raising awareness and consensus of cadres, party members and people about the meaning and importance of establishing the district. Especially, raising the sense of responsibility and qualifications of cadres and people in social management work according to the urban model, environmental protection awareness, building civilized urban life...
According to the Central Decision, from January 1, 2025, An Duong district will be converted into An Duong district based on the communes of the district (except for 3 communes An Hong, An Hung, Dai Ban transferred to Hong Bang district).
