On December 26, the People's Committee of Do Son district held a conference to announce the Decision of the People's Committee of Hai Phong city on recognizing Do Son tourist area as a provincial tourist area.
At the Conference, Mr. Le Khac Nam - Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee presented the Decision of the City People's Committee, recognizing Do Son Tourist Area, Hai Phong City as a Provincial Tourist Area.
According to the People's Committee of Do Son district, in 2024, Do Son attracted 4.3 million tourists, reaching 113.16% of the plan, up 50.6% over the same period; revenue from accommodation and catering services is estimated at VND 3,210 billion, reaching 102.07% of the plan, up 21.13% over the same period. The tourism sector continues to affirm its role as an important economic sector. During the year, the district put into operation a number of key projects such as Dragon Hill Tourist Area, Zone 2 beach and inner-city routes; upgrading accommodation facilities and hotels to 3-5 star standards, contributing to improving the quality of service for tourists;...
“2025 is a year with many key events, so Do Son needs to build and organize programs that have highlights and create differences compared to other localities, including organizing the Buffalo Fighting Festival in 2025, to create excitement among the people and tourists” – Vice Chairman Le Khac Nam said.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Do Son district awarded Certificates of Merit to a number of units and individuals with outstanding achievements in developing the district's tourism industry in 2024.
